Sharper Than the Sharpest Two-Edged Sword (Part 1)

If you have access to this blog, you have access to the Word of God. (www.biblegateway.com)  If you have access to the Word of God, you have access to the power of Scripture.

Make it a practice of yours’s to meditate on Scripture.  Fill your mind with Scripture.  Don’t allow your familiarity of the Scriptures to rob you of the power of scripture.  Don’t stop at just knowing Scripture, believe and practice Biblical principles.

The Scriptures are powerful!

  • All Scripture is inspired by God.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16:17 NLT)

All Scripture (Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21) is given to us by God.

Scripture is useful to teach us what is right and what is wrong.

Scripture corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

God uses Scripture to prepare and equip His people to do good work.

  • The word of God is alive and powerful.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.  (Hebrews 4:12 NLT)

The Word of God is alive and powerful.

The Word of God penetrates our innermost thoughts and desires.

The Word of God separates the spiritual from the flesh.

The Word of God tells us what comes from God and what comes from man.

The Word of God exposes shallow beliefs and false intentions.

The Word of God tells us what is right and what is wrong.

  • The Scriptures will last forever.

The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.”

Why would you not want to know the Scriptures?  Why would you not want to practice Biblical principles?
