What is scripture telling us?
- A person can be sincere and convinced that he is right while being completely wrong according to God’s Word.

Scripture provides an objective standard by which we can know what is actually right in God’s eyes.
- God’s Word is truth.
- God gave us scripture to transform us.

“Iron sharpens iron”
Equals working together.
A piece of iron does not become sharp simply by sitting beside another piece of iron. There must be contact and friction. The process may be uncomfortable, but it produces a useful result.

Likewise, good friends help us become better people. They may challenge our thinking, correct us when we are wrong, encourage us when we are discouraged, and point us back toward God.
A true friend cares enough to tell us what we need to hear, not merely what we want to hear.
